Sustainability

Sourced with respect.

We believe clean food for your dog and a healthy ocean aren't a trade-off. Here's how we source — and why it matters.

Responsible by design

Among the best-managed fisheries on earth.

Iceland's fisheries are governed by science-based catch quotas and one of the world's most rigorous traceability systems. Stocks are monitored continuously, and harvests are capped to keep them healthy for generations.

That means every treat we make starts with fish that was caught responsibly — not strip-mined from the ocean, but taken within limits set to protect it.

Nothing wasted

Whole-fish utilization.

Cod skin is naturally rich in collagen, omega-3s, and protein — parts of the fish that too often go to waste. We use them, gently air-drying what would otherwise be discarded into treats dogs love.

Less waste, more nutrition, and a smaller footprint per fish. That's the whole point.

What's next

Closer to home.

Our gently cooked complete food, coming next, will be made with Atlantic Canadian ingredients in a human-grade Nova Scotia facility — shortening the supply chain and supporting the waters and farms in our own backyard.

Our sourcing standards.

i.

Science-based quotas. We only source from fisheries managed within sustainable catch limits.

ii.

Full traceability. Every batch can be traced back to where and how the fish was caught.

iii.

Whole-fish use. We make treats from nutritious parts that would otherwise be wasted.

iv.

Shorter supply chains. Processed in Iceland today, and Atlantic Canada for what's coming next.

Good for them. Better for the ocean.

Try the treats that started it all — single-ingredient, sustainably sourced, and traceable to the source.
